Okay, so I spur of the moment decided that I’m going to tease you a little bit in this post, and make you watch a video on my channel to get the full picture.
So, I’ve recently had a strange, a very strange obsession with the Body Shop. I mean, it shouldn’t be strange, because I grew up with a mother who had pretty much a life long obsession with the shop, I mean, to the point where every time we would take our WEEKLY shop to Leeds, she would have to go in there, and spend a fortune on pretty much everything that she already had at home, I mean, I don’t know how on earth she used it all, it would literally be gone in the space of those 7 little days before she stocked up on the same stuff again. Maybe she ate it? I don’t know!
Okay, back to the point. So, a part of me wanted to create this post because I had a dream that I made this post, yes, this was another one of my ‘wake up early (3am) and jot down a few blog post ideas’ moments… and another part of me had to make this because I bought a rug yesterday from Amazon Prime, JUST for my blog & Instagram posts, so, it’s time for the grand reveal…
Obviously I took a couple more but you will have to head on over to my Instagram and my YouTube to find out what those are and my thoughts on them!
So this was kind of an impulse buy, I would use the word silly, because I didn’t mean to buy it, my hand slipped and it some how ended up on my counter, my bank card didn’t have much of an argument with me, thankfully, because this was the cheapest item, and, what is even crazier is that I didn’t end up walking out with one, no, I left the shop with 2 full bottles, of stuff that I had never tried on my VERY sensitive eyes before, now that was silly!
– I must explain that with the 3-for-the-price-of-2 offer, one bottle was free.
When I picked the bottle up, a thought briefly swifted past my mind that the past few eye products I’ve bought have made my eyes burn and go all puffy and itchy, but I didn’t seam to bat an eyelid (no pun intended).
Anyway, I soon got home and guessed that it was best I tried out what I’d just bought, and I kid you not, that stuff is crazy, it literally just melts off your make-up. I usually use the Nivea Eye Make-up Remover, but if you’ve been watching my vlogs, you’ll know my mum accidentally threw out my half full bottle in one of her crazy clear out spree’s. I guess it was meant to be! I mean, if you don’t try these things, you’ll never know what they’re like!
Since I reached my twenties, almost 5 years ago, my mum keeps yapping on about how much I should take note on ‘Anti-Aging’ at a younger age, because it will keep me looking youthful before I’m supposed to get all old and wrinkly. I mean, it’s not my place to say my mum’s age without her consent, and she’s currently asleep, but trust me, anyone who learns her age for the first time never believes me, my mum looks really great for her age, and so did my grandmother, so I’m gonna listen to both of them.
So, let’s talk about the product. Since I bought this 5 days ago, it’s easily worked it’s way into my daily routine. The subtly sweet scented foam when rubbed onto the skin slowly turns into a creamy consistency which feels really lovely and makes your skin quite honestly feel like you’re in a bed full of silk linen, and then you wash it off and your skin feels just as soft as a baby’s back side. I just can’t get enough of it. I would tell you what my next step it, but you’ll have to wait for the video!
If you’re subscribed to my channel, and you watch my vlogs, you might remember me trying this for the first time a few weeks ago, and I’m afraid to say that I still have the same thoughts on the scent of this product. Although, after some thought, I’ve come to the conclusion that it has a smell of olive oil mixed with gasoline. Now, I personally very much dislike those 2, but if you put them together, you create a scent that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
Now, speaking of enemies, I don’t have any, but if I were to have one, then I guess another reason I wouldn’t wish this product on them would be that I wouldn’t want them to have the gratitude of having such soft skin at the end of it all. Wow, Emma, that’s quite a burn for someone who doesn’t exist! Well, that’s another thing, it does burn quite a bit, now I’m not sure if that’s just me, because I’m fine when I take it off! Maybe the Face Mask holds a little grudge against me.
Before I get on another tangent about how that last paragraph reminds me of Aaron’s neighbours cat who thinks he lives in Aaron’s house, torments his cats, aggravates the heck out of all the humans in the neighbourhood but just wants to be loved by all… I would like to thank you for taking your time to read this. I hope you enjoyed…
